A Time to Release

August 22, 2018

This weeks theme is centered around the idea of release. It comes on the cusp of the idea of attachments that we discussed last week. Releasing the attachment is as hard for most as any detrimental effect of the attachment. Why? We just get comfortable with the way things are and the "known". The known may be scary, unhealthy, boring, painful, or any number of descriptors. It could be down right life threatening, but it's known. The idea of release taps into that side of us that fears the unknown, or maybe we do know it and it's not easy. We've tried in the past to let that habit or relationship go, only to find that the after effects are less than satisfactory. Sometimes though, we just don't know what will happen. That job that isn't very satisfying still pays for a mortgage. What happens if we change jobs? What then? I can't answer any of these questions directly, but what I can say is that your mental well being is more important than most anything else. If life is a drudge and unbearable, then the other stuff loses it's luster. What is a house without love and laughter? If you haven't smiled in a while or found joy in life I urge you to sit down and sort through the things that are weighing you down. Take the easy ones first, and just r-e-l-e-a-s-e. Let that stuff go. Embody your inner Grinch (after the enlightenment of course) and let that heart free to grow at least three sizes.

Speaking of release....many of you will be happy to know that I've released the center's pricing on Vagaro.

I hope you have a wonderful evening and tomorrow my friends! Love and Light
